Back in the Saddle

on the horsie ride to Hell.

NO!! I kid! Sort of. Well we got home from Vegas, Baby yesterday around 7:30pm. And while the boys were overall well behaved while Nonni was here watching them, Liam has taken adventures in baby-hitting and whacked Shea a few times. Shea is walking more on his own. I am reasonably sure these two things are related. In addition to smacking his brother, Liam has also become way more protective with his toys. In typical big sibling fashion he sometimes would take things Shea was holding and we’d talk about it and he’d give it back. Now he is jumping across the room to get to something before Shea can. Whatever Shea has, Liam wants. And so Shea, picking up on this, has now decided that he wants what Liam has.

Let the games begin! – and I’m not referring to the Olympics.

So today I begin to detox the kids from the non-stop fun that is Nonni – their fabulous grandmother who stayed with them while I was gone, and break them back into the hell that is life with their parents. Nonni did give Liam time outs and addressed his – shall we say, Poor Choices? But she isn’t mom or dad and we all know how scary Dan and I are…. so I hope to have them in line by martial law by the end of the week.

And I hope I have enough caffeine to get me there.

Did i mention Liam’s summer camp is over? And it’s just the three of us til the 2nd week in September?

Welcome back! I’ll be here all week!
